Bringing Therapy Home is a female owned business, serving the Kansas City metro community since 2013. 

Marena Mitchell, speech-language pathologist, started Bringing Therapy Home to focus on parent collaboration. With the belief that parents are the experts on their child, paired with strategies provided by the therapist, a child's potential is unlimited. 

Marena spent years as a therapist watching children and families navigate systems that didn't always see what she saw: the potential, the strength, and the magic in every child. She knew parents were the experts. She knew there was a better way. A more human way. That’s how Bringing Therapy Home was created.

Marena lives with the motto: “Dream big and always set a goal that scares you!," She also believes, “Nothing is accomplished alone. If you have the right people in your life, the possibilities become endless."

The team at Bringing Therapy Home consists of speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, special education teachers, a music therapist, and an office manager. Truly, an unbelievable team in the way they love children, believe in them, and have big expectations. Marena is convinced she has surrounded herself with the best of the best and wants to ensure families receive incredible support.

​The therapists have a Master's degree in their field and specialize in working with Autistic individuals, children with developmental delays, children with sensory needs, and children with significant learning needs. 

Our speech-language pathologists are all licensed in the state of Kansas and all hold a certificate of clinical competency from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). 

Our occupational therapists are all licensed in the state of Kansas and/or Missouri and are members of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA). 

Our music therapist is board-certified.
