Screenings
A speech-language pathologist with Bringing Therapy Home will be conducting speech-language screenings at your child’s school. Screenings typically take 15 minutes at a cost of $20/child. During the screening, your child will engage in activities that allow the speech-language pathologist to screen for developmental skills in the following areas: articulation (the sounds your child is producing), expressive language (the length and complexity of your child’s verbal sentences), receptive language (what your child understands), concepts, answering questions, and social skills. A screening is an informal measure to determine if your child presents with age-appropriate skills and/or if his/her skills need further evaluation. All results and recommendations will be shared with you following the screening.
