In this group, children will be completing language based activities while working in a group to problem solve, make predictions, and use their executive functioning to complete a task. Children will start by working together to follow a new recipe each week and enjoy their snack together. Next, a sensory based science experiment will be presented for the children. They will make predictions and carry out the scientific method. Children will finish with games such as "Minute to Win It" activities and board games for social skills practice.
This group is designed for children in elementary school – this includes all children –typically developing children and children with needs (speech, language, fine motor, gross motor, or cognitive delays).
This group is led by Liz Weaver, a speech-language pathologist, and Leina O’Dell, and occupational therapist.
The total cost for the 6 week group session is $202.50. Missed classes are not reimbursed. Once classes begin, refunds are not issued.
