How long is an "empowering family" session?
Typically, the session will last 45 minutes.  During that time, the parenting mentor is interacting with the child and all of the family members. Time will be allotted to engage in hands-on activities with you, your child, your spouse, and other family members.  You will receive a handout of the tips/strategies discussed, a list of community resources, and an opportunity to ask questions.  Following the empowering session, you will be emailed a list of additional ideas/suggestions discussed during your session.

How much does a session cost?
The cost is $240 for 4 sessions.  Sessions can be weekly, monthly, or bi-monthly.   Payment can be made in the form of cash, check, or credit card (a link will be provided upon request).

What ages do you provide tips/strategies for?
Tips/strategies are offered for children 0-5 years old.  Speech and language developmental skills are broken into categories based on your child's age: 0-6 months, 6-12 months, 12-18 months, 2 years, and 3-5 years old.

If you have specific questions regarding your child's sleep habit, toileting needs, play skills, and/or establishing routines within your family, tips and strategies specific to your level of need will be discussed.

Who can be present during a session?

The entire family is encouraged to be present during a session.  The goal is to empower you and those who spend time with your child to facilitate the essential skills in your child’s development.
