Your child will participate in literacy and early literacy activities that help to build a foundation for successful literacy skill development in order to make them stronger future readers! These activities will target oral language such as listening comprehension and oral language vocabulary, alphabet knowledge including phonemic/phonological awareness (the ability to discriminate sounds and sounds in words) and print knowledge/concepts.
Your child will participate in literacy activities to help solidify a foundation for continued successful reading by targeting skills that are research based in predicting later reading outcomes. These activities will include oral language such as listening comprehension and oral language vocabulary, phonemic/phonological awareness skills such as rhyming and and sound blending and segmenting and sight words.
Activities may include: repeated readings and dialogic reading, alphabet letter crafts, Letter- sound activities and more!
When: Every Wednesday for 8 weeks Time: 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Cost: $180.00 for the 8 week group
