"Fun with Fine Motor"
Fridays 9:00-10:00

"Fun with Fine Motor" will provide opportunities for your child to develop and enhance their fine motor skills all through play activities. A multi-sensory approach will be used to build foundational fine motor skills. Core strengthening and some gross motor skills will also be addressed through various play activities, as large muscle development builds a foundation for later developing fine motor skills.
Each week, your child will participate in fun, engaging activities that will address a variety of fine motor skills. The fine motor skills targeted provide the foundation required for handwriting and other material and tool manipulation required later on in childhood. Because every child has varying levels of fine motor abilities and areas of growth, activities will be modified to meet each individual child’s need.
Sessions will include fine motor games, crafts and other play activities, finger play songs, core strengthening and gross motor games. Skills targeted will include strengthening, bi-lateral coordination, crossing mid-line, hand dominance, fine motor control and precision, crayon grasp and fine motor manipulation.

Group facilitators will be Sarah Eller, an occupational therapist, and Marena Mitchell, a speech-language pathologist
Class size is limited to 8 children.
Cost is $180 for the 8 week group session.

"Move to the Music"
Fridays 10:15-11:15
In, "Move to the Music," your child will interact with peers as they engage in a variety of songs. This class is ideal for children that love to move, dance, and sing. Each week, visuals will be provided to represent the songs. The children will select the songs for the group session. Each song will be adapted with pictures and objects.

As we sing the song, the children will act out the song together using props.  We may sing "Going on a Bear Hunt" and the children will use their imaginations to splash in the water, climb the mountain, and go into the cave - props will be utilized to reinforce concepts from each song (spray bottle for the water, a tree branch for the forest, a flashlight for the cave).

Language concepts such as making a choice, answering questions, verbally retelling a story, describing items, making predictions, and social interactions will be targeted all through play and interactive activities.

Group facilitators will be Sarah Eller, an occupational therapist, and Marena Mitchell, a speech-language pathologist

Class size is limited to 8 children.
Cost is $180 for the 8 week group session.
