Community Sessions

Does your child love going into the community, but you are wondering how you can embed their skills into the community-based activity?  Does your child thrive outdoors?  If so, our "Community Sessions" are tailored for you. Sarah Eller, an occupational therapist, is offering community-based therapy sessions on Thursdays, starting March 30, 2017 through May 4, 2017.  Each week, your child will explore a community activity with Sarah.  As they explore, all skills will be naturally embedded into the activity.

Community sessions will be individual therapy sessions provided in a variety of community settings. The rate of each individual session will be $60 for the 45-minute community session. Your child will have the same time slot for the 6 weeks. Morning and afternoon sessions are available.

Parents are encouraged to share their child’s current goals/objectives and these can be addressed within the community sessions. Parents may drop their child off for the session or join in the session.

Community Session Locations
Week 1 (March 30, 2017): Deanna Rose Farmstead
Week 2 (April 6, 2017): Wonderscope Children’s Museum
Week 3 (April 13, 2017): Leawood City Park
Week 4 (April 20, 2017): Scheels
Week 5 (April 27, 2017): Overland Park Arboretum and Botanical Gardens
Week 6 (May 4, 2017): Crown Center: Under the Sea Adventure

Should sessions be cancelled due to weather, sessions will be rescheduled.
Register by January 30th, and your child’s Wonderscope admission fee will be paid by Sarah Eller.
